Default Need advice re: credit card

Hey guys

I got my first credit card 6 months ago (TD VISA), and a second one (MBNA for At Home gift card program, which I need to keep as long as my membership continues) 2 months ago.

I am so far clean in terms of paying off monthly dues.

But I get no points on my TD VISA. What card should I get if I want to change from TD Visa to another card? Money back would be great. But I was looking at Capital One and they require 3 years of credit history. I'm thinking of Citi 1% cash back card but they rejected me last time I applied around winter time. I would like to get a no-fee card. I also am not a huge spender generally (up to $300-500 per month?)

I have a stable job that will grow in income and no debt.

Any ideas if cancelling my TD Visa card is a good idea and what card I should get next?

Default Why Do You Want Credit Cards?

Is it to build credit? There are better ways than credit cards.

The U.S. is facing what could be a monumental correction in the major markets and the one key influencing factor is the credit situation so many people find themselves in today. No savings combined with excessive credit and the idea that the good times will continue on create a situation that could be disastrous for many people, especially young people, who have never really seen or personally felt a real economic recession.
